Esthetics has gotten increasingly device-centric and trend-happy. We use technology too, but we don't believe owning a machine makes someone a great esthetician.
Anyone can hold a device to your skin. What matters is the person holding it: their training, their technique, their ability to read your skin, and, most importantly, their understanding of what they're doing and why.
Our estheticians train constantly. They refine their hands-on skills, study ingredients and skin physiology, and learn how to use professional technology thoughtfully. They know when a device can improve a treatment, and when your skin would be better served without it.
We don't believe one skin care company makes the best version of everything. And unlike a chain, there's no corporate office telling us what has to go on our shelves, or what we have to recommend to you.
We don't push private-label products because they're good for the bottom line, and we don't carry an entire line because someone else made that decision for us. We curate.
We love Eminence Organic Skin Care for its organic approach and the results we see. But great skin care isn't about loyalty to a label. We also use Le Mieux, Lira Clinical, and others, choosing the best product for the job, regardless of whose name is on the bottle.
We look at ingredients. We compare formulas. We test products. And even after something earns a place on our shelves, we keep looking to see if something better comes along.
Every product has to earn its place.
Your skin rarely fits neatly into one box. What looks like one thing can be something else, or several things at once. That's why we evaluate before we treat. These are some of what your esthetician is considering:
Is your skin dry, dehydrated, stripped, or struggling to hold onto moisture? They can look similar, but they don't necessarily need the same treatment.
Seasons change. So does your skin. That's why we create seasonal facials designed around what your skin needs right now. A little extra attention, right when your skin needs it.

Consistency delivers results.
There's no perfect schedule for everyone, but for most people, every 4–6 weeks is a good starting point. Regular facials give us a chance to see how your skin is responding, build on what's working, and adjust as your skin changes. Your esthetician can help you find a schedule that makes sense for your skin, goals, and budget.
Our 30-minute facials are focused treatments designed to accomplish a lot in less time. They're great when your schedule is tight, before an event, or between longer appointments to help maintain your results. They can also be a smart way to target something specific, like exfoliation, hydration, or an EMS touch-up to help maintain lift and tone.
Our 60-minute facials give us time to go deeper. Your esthetician can thoroughly evaluate your skin, customize the treatment, address multiple concerns, and spend more time on the hands-on work that makes a facial both effective and relaxing.
Think of the 60-minute facial as your full treatment and the 30-minute facial as a focused treatment or maintenance visit between them.
Absolutely.
The facial you book gives us a starting point, but your skin determines what happens in the treatment room. Your esthetician will evaluate your skin and can adjust products, techniques, and other elements of the facial based on what they see that day.
We don't believe in treating every face with the same formula. Two people can book the exact same facial and need very different things.
Come with clean skin if you can, but don't stress if you can't.
Avoid heavy exfoliation, scrubs, or trying new active products right before your appointment. Most importantly, tell your esthetician about any medications, retinoids, recent procedures, allergies, or changes in your skin so we can treat it safely and appropriately.
Usually, yes, but we need to know what you're using.
Retinoids and some acne medications can make your skin more sensitive and may affect which exfoliants, peels, or treatments are appropriate. Tell your esthetician what you use and when you last used it, and we'll adjust your facial accordingly.
Absolutely.
Pregnancy can bring plenty of changes to your skin, and a facial can be a great time to address them. Just let us know you're pregnant when you book. We'll avoid ingredients and treatments that aren't pregnancy-appropriate while still tailoring your facial to what your skin needs.
Yes, when your skin needs them.
Extractions are included in our facials when appropriate, but we don't believe in squeezing and picking at your skin just because you booked a facial. Your esthetician will evaluate your skin and determine what can be safely extracted without causing unnecessary irritation or trauma.
Some treatments, especially those designed for an event or immediate glow, may intentionally minimize or skip extractions to avoid temporary redness.
Most facials leave your skin looking fresh with little to no downtime, but some temporary changes can be completely normal.
Extractions, peels, or more intensive exfoliation may cause redness, sensitivity, or light flaking depending on your skin and the treatment.
If you're already congested, you may also notice a few blemishes surface afterward. A facial can loosen built-up oil, dead skin, and congestion that was already developing below the surface, making it more noticeable for a short time. That doesn't necessarily mean your skin is reacting badly or that the facial "caused" a breakout.
Your esthetician will let you know what to expect from your specific treatment, and if something doesn't seem right afterward, call us. We'd rather take a look than have you wonder.
Usually, yes, but if you can, give your skin a little time to breathe.
After a facial, your skin may be freshly exfoliated, more sensitive, or simply better left alone for a few hours.
If you need to wear makeup afterward, let your esthetician know, especially if you have an event. We can take that into consideration when choosing products, exfoliation, extractions, and other parts of your treatment.
One thing we don't want you to skip is sunscreen. Freshly treated skin needs good sun protection, so we recommend a high-quality broad-spectrum SPF every day, especially after a facial. We carry several options at Bodylogic, and your esthetician can help you choose one that works well with your skin.
Keep it simple.
Your skin has just been thoroughly cleansed, exfoliated, and treated, so this isn't the time to pile on extra products or aggressive actives.
For the next day or two, focus on gentle cleansing, hydration, and a high-quality broad-spectrum sunscreen. Avoid scrubs, strong exfoliants, retinoids, and anything else your esthetician recommends temporarily holding off on.
Most importantly, follow the advice you're given at your appointment. Your esthetician knows what was used on your skin and can recommend what it needs next, including home-care products if there's something that would help support your results.
Absolutely.
What you do between appointments matters, but that doesn't mean you need to replace everything in your bathroom.
Just bought a cleanser at CVS? We may have one we like better, but often we'll tell you to use what you have and finish it. Maybe what would make the biggest difference right now is adding a serum, masque, or better sunscreen.
Our goal is to build on what you're already doing, make thoughtful changes where they'll actually help, and create a routine that works for your skin, and that you'll actually stick with.
Great skin care can start at any age.
We see plenty of younger clients, especially around prom, back-to-school season, and winter break, when cold weather can be particularly rough on younger skin.
Guests ages 16–18 are welcome with consent from a parent or legal guardian. For guests under 16, a parent or legal guardian must provide consent and remain in the treatment room throughout the facial.
For younger guests, we'll always tailor the treatment to their age, skin, and individual needs. A facial for a 15-year-old shouldn't look exactly like a facial for a 40-year-old, and ours won't.
